The Polar Plunge is an annual event to benefit Special Olympics. This is an event in which crazy participants get dressed up in costumes or uniforms to represent their unique flair or their teams, and then they plunge themselves into the freezing cold Columbia River.
We were so honored when Laura Herrera, host of the Buzz on KWCC TV, asked us to photograph the event. This was a super special event which raised thousands of dollars for Special Olympics. There were some great costumes and even better faces when they came out of the water. Everyone had a blast and we had so much fun photographing the 2013 Polar Plunge.
