Sharing passion at an early age...

Our nieces Haylee and Araya both love to shoot photos and it so cool that they are enjoying photography at an early age.  We have gotten them both their own cameras and they have so much fun taking photos of this and that.  It's so fun for us to be able to share our passion with our nieces and for them to enjoy photography too.

Here is a photo of our youngest assistant, Araya, shooting a photo of Auntie Heidi:

Thanks boys!!! We LOVE and MISS you!!!

It seems that the seasons have been a little late this past year and this Spring seems to be no different.  According to the NOAA forecast, there is an estimated 4"-8" of snow today and 5"-9" estimated for tonight on Stevens Pass.  This means more pow shredding for friends and more fluffy whitewater this spring and summer.

I can't help but think that this spring snow is the handy work of some incredible friends that we all recently lost.  Thanks boys!!!
We LOVE and MISS you!!!

There are definitely some people wishing they had one of these this March...

Our niece Araya

We are so lucky that we regularly get to spend time with some of our wonderful nieces.  Araya is 2 and she is already so awesome!!!  She is so much fun and has such a big personality for being such a little thing.  We absolutely cherish the time we get to spend with her and love the connection that we have.  Auntie and Uncle LOVE you so much Araya!!!

She recently came on a Photo Walk and she did a little modeling for us too.  Here are some photos of Araya on a recent Photo Walk:

Clicking, walking, talking and sharing....

We recently did an informal Photo Walk with a couple local photographer friends.  It's always good to get together with other photographers especially when we get to click the shutter and share ideas.  We talked about photography and life in general.  We shot some great photos and we shared ideas with each other.  It was a great morning spent sharing and learning with other photographers...

Here are a handful of photos from the walk and stay tuned for photos of the beautiful little model that we had with us on the Photo Walk...

Katelyn and Justin's Engagement Session - Chelan Wedding Photographer

It was a beautiful winter day to photograph a gorgeous couple.  We met Katelyn and Justin at the Vogue Lounge in downtown Chelan.  We had some coffee and breakfast before taking a walk around town for a bit.  Katelyn and Justin are so perfect together!!!  They have such an awesome energy together and you can genuinely feel their love for one another.  It's so cool to watch, when a glance speaks volumes...

They are not only a gorgeous couple but they are also incredible, compassionate and loving people.  Thank you Katelyn and Justin!!!
We are honored that you chose us tell your love story and we are excited to photograph your wedding at the Alderbrook Resort and Spa.  We appreciate you both so very much!!!

Ski Hill Torch Light Run with Welcome Star

I had been thinking about creating this image for a little while now as I reflected on our communities other losses.  Last year, our community lost Danny Z who was another bright and shining soul that was also lost to an avalanche.  When I received an email this morning I knew I had to make the image.

The email was from a friend of Jim Jack's and she had lost her love, who was a close friend of Jim's, in an avalanche at Mission Ridge in December of 1994.  She was hoping for an image to represent her love, Steve, welcoming the boys.

This image represents the 3 shining souls of Jim Jack, Chris Rudolph and Johnny Brenan being welcomed by another shining soul that was also lost way too early.  I like to think they were welcomed with a smile, a hug, a cold one and endless POW...

Jim Jack's Celebration of Life - Leavenworth, WA

If I ever knew someone that was of legendary status, it was Jim Norman Jack.  Jim Jack's ability shred on skis and to befriend anyone made it so his energy was felt worldwide.  He traveled the world "living the dream" and following his passion, yet he never lost his love for his home and his community, Leavenworth, WA.

His PASSION for LIFE, his LOVE for Family and Friends, his COMPASSION for Others, his ENERGY and SPIRIT and the LOVE in his Heart will always be with ALL of us.  We LOVE and MISS you Jim Jack!!!
